Our story

Heurix was born twice.

The first time was in 2015: a prototype annotation engine, ahead of its time on one thing — how it used regular expressions. Rules compiled into automata, composed, applied in cascade: level 1 recognizes raw patterns, level 2 combines them into concepts. We called these rule sets prisms, and the image says it all: place a prism in front of light — the raw data — and it reveals what the light contains. Named entities appear, each with its own color. What looked like a string of characters becomes meaning.

The second time is now. That engine, rewritten from scratch to today's standards, answers a need observed in the field, across several verticals — hardware, spare parts, fashion, industry: buyers ready to buy who can't find products that are sitting in stock, because their site's engine reads "M8 x 20 — A2" as text, not as a diameter, a length, and a material. Passed through the Heurix prism, the same reference reveals its components — and your customers find it, however they type it.

Our mission: make internal search a conversion lever, not a burden. The big search platforms are built for the enterprise — expensive, complex, oversized. The engines that ship with CMSs fail as soon as the catalog gets technical. In between, thousands of SMEs with large catalogs put up with their search engine instead of using it. Heurix exists for them.

Heurix is a French, independent, bootstrapped company. The engine is designed and built in France, hosted at OVH, and every result it returns is explainable — it tells you why it ranks, term by term, annotation by annotation. No black box, no magic: precision mechanics.
